9.00 – 9.40 Check-in.

9.40 – 10.30 Nick Sandberg will give an informal introductory talk covering history, realities of application for treating drug dependence, and legal issues at a street and treatment provider level.

10.30 – 11.30 Brian Mariano and another, to be confirmed, will be discussing their experiences of treating addicts and non-addicts in Europe.

11.30 – 11.50 Break

11.50 – 12.20 Dana Beal, a New York based activist, will be discussing the different ways ibogaine has been looked at and assessed by drug treatment authorities, addicts, activists, and scientists over the last few decades.

12.20 – 13.00 Mallendi, a Bwiti priest (nganga) from south Gabon, will talk of the social and sacramental uses of iboga by indigenous peoples in Central and West Africa.

13.00 – 14.10 Lunch

14.10 – 14.15 Brief re-introduction.

14.15 – 15.00 Patrick Kroupa will discuss ibogaine from a former addict’s perspective.

15.00 – 15.15 Break

15.15 – 16.25 Dr John Pablo PhD will be discussing his and Dr Deborah Mash’s clinical work treating addicts with ibogaine at the Healing Visions Institute for Addiction Recovery, and the numerous scientific papers on ibogaine they have co-authored. (Note: Dr Mash herself cannot now appear due to previously unforeseen circumstances. Dr Pablo will talk on Healing Visions’ work in her place).

16.25 – 17.30 Panel type discussion group with questions from the audience.

17.30 – Close.

Questions: Individual speakers will take questions either during their talks or at the end, as they prefer. The panel discussion group at the end will take questions from the audience to any speaker.

Lunch: To keep costs to a minimum, we have not included lunch in the ticket price. There are however restaurants and take-aways to cater to all tastes in the immediate area.

Getting There: Underground – Holloway Road tube station (Piccadilly Line). Turn left out of the station and the LVSRC is on your right about 100 yards down, immediately before Waitrose. Bus – No. 29 from Camden or Tottenham Court Rd. Alight at the Nag’s Head and walk approx 50 yards down Holloway Rd. The LVSRC is on your left, immediately after Waitrose.
